ErrandGo connects you with local stores and delivery riders in Mowe and nearby areas. To do that, we need some of your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

1. Who we are
ErrandGo is operated by Vicxien Corp ("ErrandGo", "we", "us"), based in Mowe, Ogun State, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy covers the ErrandGo customer app, the ErrandGo Merchant portal for stores, the ErrandGo rider app and this website.
2. What we collect
If you order with ErrandGo (customers)
- Account details: your name, email address and phone number. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google profile name and photo.
- Delivery addresses: the addresses you save, landmarks and delivery instructions, and the map location of your address.
- Your location: only when you allow it, to find your address and nearby stores. We do not track your location in the background.
- Orders: what you ordered, from which store, prices, payment method, delivery status and any notes you add.
- Gas usage: if you use the gas tracker, your cylinder size, refill history and the meals you log, so we can estimate when you'll run out.
- Device information: a notification token so we can send order updates to your phone, and basic technical information needed to keep the app working.
- How the apps are used: anonymous usage events, such as "opened a store", "started checkout" or "an order was accepted", with amounts and rough distances but never your name, phone number or address. We use them to find where ordering is hard and to improve ErrandGo. They are never used for advertising.
- Messages with support: anything you send us on WhatsApp or by other means.
If you turn on fingerprint or face unlock, it is checked by your phone. We never receive your fingerprint or face data.
If you sell on ErrandGo (stores)
- Business name, type, address, store location, opening hours, logo, photos and product listings. These are shown to customers.
- Owner and staff names, email addresses and phone numbers.
- Verification documents (such as a government-issued ID) and payout bank details. These are private: only the store owner and ErrandGo's verification team can see them.
- Orders, earnings and payout requests, and support tickets.
If you deliver with ErrandGo (riders)
- Name, phone number, email, photo, government-issued ID, vehicle details, emergency contact and payout bank details.
- Your location while you are working: more often during an active delivery so the customer can follow it, and not at all when you are offline.
- Deliveries, earnings, payouts and delivery confirmations.
If you answer our survey
- Your multiple-choice answers and any comment you write. We use them, in total and without your name, to decide what to build and to show investors and partners the problems people face.
- Your first name, WhatsApp number and email only if you leave them and tick the consent box. We use them only to tell you about ErrandGo's launch and early access. Only ErrandGo's team can see them. Ask us at any time and we'll delete them.
- We don't store your IP address. A one-way code made from it is kept for about a day, only to stop the survey being flooded.
3. How we use it
- To create and secure your account.
- To send your order to the store you chose, and to arrange delivery by a rider.
- To show you your order's progress and send notifications about it.
- To verify stores and riders before they can operate, and to pay them.
- To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
- To keep ErrandGo safe: preventing fraud, misuse and fake accounts.
- To improve ErrandGo, for example by understanding which features are used.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and record-keeping.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Our legal basis
Under the NDPA we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the service you asked for, such as taking and delivering an order.
- Consent: for optional things like location access and notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time in your phone's settings.
- Legitimate interests: to keep ErrandGo secure, prevent fraud and improve the service, where this does not override your rights.
- Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep or share information.
5. Who we share it with
| Who | What they see | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The store you order from | Your name, phone number, delivery address and order | To prepare your order and contact you about it |
| The rider who accepts your delivery | Your name, phone number, delivery address and order — only once they've accepted it. Riders browsing open jobs see just the store, the items and your general area. | To deliver it and reach you on arrival |
| Customers | A store's public listing; the name of the rider bringing their order, and the rider's location during that delivery | So customers can choose a store and follow their delivery |
| Google (Firebase) | The data stored in our apps, and anonymous usage events | Hosting, database, sign-in, notifications, crash reports and usage analytics (no advertising) |
| Cloudflare | Order details needed to send notifications; a daily encrypted backup of our database; our websites | Sending app notifications, keeping backups, hosting |
| Cloudinary | Images uploaded by stores, such as logos, photos and verification documents | Image storage and delivery |
| Paystack (payments) | What is needed to process a payment: amount, order reference and your email | To take payments and refunds securely. We never see or store your card details. |
| Google (Gemini) — only if you use ErrandBuddy | The messages you type to ErrandBuddy, the list of stores and prices, your gas gauge reading and your recent orders (store, items, status, total). Never your name, phone number, address or payment details. | To answer your questions. We use Google's free Gemini service, under which Google may use these messages to improve its products, so please don't type personal details into ErrandBuddy. If you tap 👍 or 👎 on an answer, we keep that question and answer so our team can improve ErrandBuddy. |
| Authorities | Only what is legally required | When required by law or to protect someone's safety |
Our service providers may only use your data to provide their service to us — except, as explained above, what you type to ErrandBuddy, which Google may also use to improve its products.
6. Where it is stored
Our database is hosted by Google Cloud in the European Union, and some providers may process data in other countries. When your data leaves Nigeria, we rely on the safeguards the NDPA allows, including the providers' contractual commitments to protect it.
7. How long we keep it
- Account data: for as long as your account is open.
- Order and payment records: up to 6 years after the order, for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. When you delete your account we remove your name and contact details from these records.
- Verification documents of stores and riders: while the account is active, and up to 2 years after it closes, in case of disputes or legal requests.
- Rider location: a rider's live position is kept only while they are on a delivery and removed when it ends.
- Backups: we keep a daily backup of our database for 14 days so we can recover from mistakes or failures. Data you delete leaves our backups within 14 days.
8. Your rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to:
- know what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- have your data deleted (see Delete your account);
- restrict or object to some uses of your data;
- receive your data in a commonly used format and move it elsewhere;
- withdraw consent you have given;
- complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you believe we have mishandled your data.
To use any of these rights, contact us (section 12). We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
9. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted by role: a store can only see its own orders, riders only see the deliveries they take, and verification documents and bank details are visible only to their owner and our verification team. No system is completely secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the NDPC as the law requires.
10. Children
ErrandGo is for people aged 18 and over. Gas cylinders in particular must be ordered and received by an adult. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and tell you in the app about important changes before they take effect.
